Words, words, words.   Words spoken are seed, they grow up in the  heart of the hearer, they bring forth  life, or death, good words bring forth good, evil or twisted words,  bring forth a twisted life.  Your  words control your life, they can  even control the lives of others.

They are designed by God to bring  forth good in your life.  If you twist  God's words, they will bring forth  twisted things in your life, and if you  speak good to others, you edify, or  build up that person, but if you  speak evil twisted words to  someone, you tear that person  down.  You believe what you say  more than what someone else says,  but if you listen to others speaking  evil twisted words, you begin to  believe them, and act on them,  distorting your own life.

Since words are seed, and grow up  in the heart of the hearer, then to  have a good life, you must speak  good words to yourself, as well as  to others.
Speaking words of life to  yourself, and to others, brings good  in your life, as well as the other  person.

Many people do not know this, causing themselves, as well as  others around them, much misery

God tells us in Matthew 12:35 A  good man, out of the good treasure  of his heart, brings forth good  things: and an evil man, out of the  evil treasure of his heart, brings  forth evil things.  And in verse 37 he  says:  For by your words are you  justified, and by your words are you  condemned.

The word evil means twisted, like  wicker, same thing as wicked,  meaning  twisted from what God has  said.  It isn't just refering to cursing,  but to what  you say about yourself,  and about and to others.  He tells us  if we want good  in our life, we must  put good into our heart, the core of a  man, not the physical heart.  And the  good in our heart will come forth in  words from your mouth, bringing  forth good in your life.

In verse 35 he says your words,  what comes out of your heart  through your  mouth, will either justify you or condemn you.  He  doesn't say that he will do it, or that  his word will do it,  No,  he says  "your" words will do it.

How do you bring forth good?, by speaking good words, words of life. You also  bring forth evil things by the words that you speak. Parents bring forth good in  their children by telling their children that they "can" do exploits, and not telling  them they will never amount to anything.  Parents, as well as other people telling  a child that they came from the wrong side of the track, and can't get anywhere in life, will leave that child believing they cannot be anything, so they will act on  what they believe.

Is your spouse what you want them to be?  Are "you" what you want to be?   Start speaking the good that you want to be, and the good that you want your  spouse to be.  Call things that are not as though they were, and they will become  that way.  Will it happen overnight?  No, but Jesus said in Mark 4:26 that the  kingdom of God is compared to a seed, that a man sowed  (planted), and went to  bed and got up, just as any farmer would do.  And the seed, the word of God,  would spring and grow up.  So it works like a seed, first the blade, then the ear,  then the full grown corn in the ear.  A process, over time.  But He said it  "would" grow up.

God tells us in the letter from James, James 3:6  And the tongue is a fire, a world  of iniquity, so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body,  and sets on fire the course of nature, and it is set on fire from hell.  The course of nature is your life.

Your tongue controls your life, by tongue he is speaking of your words, what you say about yourself, as well as to and about others.  In verse 3 of chapter 3 he tells us that we tame animals and turn them with a bridle, or control them, and in  verse 4 he tells us we turn a large ship with the little rudder. He is comparing the  tongue, or your words to a bridle, and a rudder.  A bridle is smaller than an animal, and a rudder is smaller than a ship, but they both control the animal and  the ship.

He then tells us that our tongue is smaller than our body, but it also controls our  body.  And if used against other people it controls them.  You may not see  another person, or yourself making a big change, but your words will control the  final destination of you or someone else.  He tells us in verse 8 that no man can  tame his tongue, but the word of God can tame the tongue.  So when you speak  God's word from your heart, your core, from a heart full of God's word, then  your tongue will speak God's words, good words, and from Matt 12, we can see  that those words will bring forth good.

So the words of your mouth control your life, you are the prophet of your own  life.  You are who you are, and where you are in life by what you  have been  saying all your life.  If you are not where you want to be, and are not what you  want to be, then you will have to change what you have been saying, to what God says about you.  Your words are a life source.    In our article "Who is Man" we cover this in more detail, and you can understand better how to change your life.
Only man can speak words.

Now lets look at what you have to do.  When someone decides to be a doctor,  they first go to school and learn how to doctor, then they get further training in  some kind of internship, and the day finally arrives when he is ready to start on  his own.  He then goes into practice.

Now notice what he does, he goes into practice.  He starts practicing what he has  learned.

He begines to practice.  You have to do the same thing, you first learn these things, then you go into practice, begin to practice what you have learned.

Faith without works is dead, being alone. James 2:17  Put that faith to work for  you.

In Luke 17:6 - 9 Jesus compares your faith with a servant, and tells us that we should keep our faith at work all the time.  And after it has done it's duty for us, to feed it.  How do you feed it?

On the word of God, faith in the word of God comes by hearing about it.  Rom   10:17.  So "daily" word studies feeds your faith, so it can work for you.  Faith is  your servant, so keep it working for you by feeding it daily, and put it to work  with your words.  Say unto the mountain, (Mark 11:23), say unto the fig tree, the  problems in your life.

Your words put you over, or they put you under.  Which do "you" want?  You  have authority over everything in your life, but until you put your words to work  for you through your faith, you will be under your circumstances. Out of the  abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Matt 12:34.

It would do you much good to study Mark 4, the whole chapter, Mark 11:22 -  25. and Matt 12:35.
